A unique look on this very dangerous spirit

I have read a few books on this topic so I expected a repeat of what was previously said. But not this book. This author gives a fresh and candid look at this spirit from a deeper standpoint. Through stories and personal accounts, this author gets to the root of the issue by challenging the reader to avoid the sly manipulations that empower this spirit. At times, I had to check my own heart because the pitfalls are so subtle yet highly effective in the kingdom of darkness. I highly recommend this book to anyone with a prophetic gift. It may just save you from falling into deception.

POWERFUL weapon of warefare!

My wife has battled debilitating bouts of anxiety her whole life. She spent an entire year of her childhood in and out of the hospital, lost all of her hair, and missed a year of school as a result of what i believe to be demonic attacks called "anxiety". over the years she has learned how to "cope" with fewer than usual episodes but this unexplicable and uncontrollable attack continued to run a portion of her life. As i was about mid way through the book she called me one afternoon having an anxiety attack and she was unable to function. Immediately i thought to myself "rebuke the spirit of Jezebel". i thought the worst thing that could happen was... nothing. as we did so immediately the anxiety lifted and she was able to go about her day. for the first time in decades we had a weapon that was effective against the demonic attacks on my bride. since then we have ministered to countless people and been able to identify and declare freedom over our own families.

This book is not only powerful but educational with a balanced and biblical look at the person or spirit of Jezebel. I would reccomend to any person who understands and is prepared to learn effective war against the demonic. as a matter of fact, i purchased over 20 copies to give to those i feel the Holy Spirit has led me to.

Great Spiritual Warfare Book

"Jezebel: The Witch Is Back" is a fantastic read, giving great insight to spiritual warfare. I believe that every church leader should get this book and do a strong personal examination of how the spirit of Jezebel may be infiltrating their church. We can be victorious and overcome the subtle tricks of the enemy. For pastors, there are many great sermons that can be preached from this book! Blessings!

Very useful resource

I teach at the college level and work with university faculty, and have found this book to be a great resource. It can be used as a how-to book for faculty who want to make improvements to their teaching, but it situates advice within a broader discussion of what it means to teach well today in higher education. The authors draw from a number of theoretical models in their analysis of learning & teaching - at times I skipped over these or went back to them later - but I found they helped me to go beyond simply "what to do" and think in more depth about why some approaches work better than others. A number of mini case-studies throughout the book help make the ideas more concrete - although I wish there were even more of these. All in all, I think this would be a very useful book for anybody teaching in higher education who would like to become a more effective teacher, for faculty developers, or for anybody else interested in what "good teaching" means in the higher education context.

Best Java EE Book I've Found

I've tried a few Java EE books, and this is the best one I've found for beginners. As another reviewer said, getting the examples up and running can be a bit challenging as there's not a great walkthrough of configuring and setting up your environment. Other than that, it's a great book.

Very useful book

This book delivers on it's promise.
I started to read it as a complete neophyte and now after I've finished it I have a solid understading of the Java EE platform. It gave me enough of an understanding, that with a help from some online manuals I can start developing Java EE applications.

I'd happily give it 5 stars if it were not for some typos and small editing mistakes I noticed.

I have used this book for an intro. course and found it to be a reasonable beginner book. Medical Informatics is a broad topic to say the least, and any book attempting to summarize it will suffer from the task.

Einstein's Universe clearly explained

An Old Man's Toy

I just read the book: " Einstein's Universe" which is the retitle of "An Old Man's Toy". Both titles are available at Amazon.com. I am taking the trouble to write a brief account of why I find this book to be a masterpiece. I've been reading books on Physics as a hobby. My background is that I have a Masters Degree in Math.
I've read about ten maybe it is more like 20 books trying to understand Einsteins Equivalence Principle. This principle as he grasped it was according to Einsteins the "happiest thought of his life". I read such statements as Acceleration and Gravity produce the same effect and therefore are equivalent. Again such as the inertaial acceleration in F = ma and gravitational acceleration in F=G m M/ r^2 which is GM/r^2 =g produces inertial acceleration = gravitational acceleration and so they cancel being in different directions up and down so to speak. There were others. The problem is trying to get a picure of the process. Since Newtons force was pushed back for curved space it became a little confusing. After reading Dr Zee's book I had my picture. The key to what I'm writing is picture. I asked him a question by email to which I had already decided on the answer and what he gave me is exactly the picture I had formed from reading his book. It is really good. I purchased his other books immediately: "Fearful Symmetry" and "The Unity of Forces". Both available at Amazon.com.

Finding harmony with others

The best way i found to share this book is sharing one of many FB posts followed reading it: "my mother has cancer and her situation deteriorated lately as she needs oxygen most of the time. she chose not to do Chemo and die at home. we had a lovely morning today as we sat outside, a lovely sunny day - then she told me she wants to die.

i asked her why and she replied she wants to finally rest. i suggested she can rest here and now and let death come when it wants to come, why wait for death?

after some explanation of Scott's UI we went for "the one who can not rest". at the end [we could not find that one of course] we both felt much more relaxed and connected. Not just the end result, but the process itself brought us together feeling supported and safe. Thank you Scott for bringing this opportunity to our life". Stop the Vicious Circle of Pain in Relationships

The introduction alone gives us a superb example of how our sense of not okay-ness about ourselves gives rise to the entire disharmony we experience in our relationships. Those closest to us know exactly how to push our buttons so to speak and we in turn know how to entice our close family and friends to upset as well. The rest of the book clearly shows specific roles we operate from and how our sense of deficiency has us project outward the problems and cause of suffering we encounter in the world of relationship. The author has us succinctly look at the `story' that runs our lives thru questions challenging our belief systems and thereby revealing the absence of the core deficient self we began with. What's left after the `deficient self' is no longer found? This book is a rare and incredible read with real solutions to the age old malady of healing ourselves in relationship. My life and relationships are forever changed. Thank you Scott Kiloby.
