Very skimpy and generic info for the price

For the past 14 years, I have been a software developer at one of those large IT firms that runs states' Medicaid systems. Medicaid is very complex,and I was looking for a book to help me better see the big picture that I don't always get while specializing in my limited area. Unfortunately, this is not that book. I should have paid more attention to a couple of the earlier reviews that pretty much said the same thing.
The book is 56 pages by my count (it does not have page numbers), written in a large fixed font (like Courier) and double-spaced. Seriously, I think the average word count per line is four. I timed how long it took me to read it - under 15 minutes front to back. And that included me re-reading a few terms. It reads like it was written by an 8th grader for a term paper. The grammar is generally OK but not at a professional level, and there are plenty of misspellings and typos to go along with some clunky sentences.
As far as the info, it is OK. I can't say I really learned anything I didn't already know, but I gained some benefit from seeing some of the terms and descriptions presented in a concise manner. Unfortunately, there was not any detailed info, nor any examples.
If this was a free pamphlet (which it easily could have been), I'd give it a good rating (as long as the grammar issues mentioned above were cleaned up). I'd add two stars if I'd paid $2.99 for it, or another star if it as $3.99. But for $9.99 (what I sadly paid), the best I can give is two stars. There's simply just not enough info to justify this price. All this book did was save me a couple of hours I could have spent searching for the same info online, except I would have gotten more detailed info on my own.

Don't buy it

This book was a waste of time and money as it mostly a list of definitions that are readily available elsewhere. Look elsewhere for more in depth information.

Delivers what it says.

Good place to start if you have never tackled Medicare before. Still need to find the state information and probably a good lawyer.
