I had struggled for years with a volcano of anger towards a family member. No amount of resting as awareness would make this go away. Through the practical application of the inquiries, I was able to see that the attributes in the 'other' were really a mirror that reflected a deficient self, enmeshed in stories of inadequacy, lack, fear & judgement etc. Scott pointed me to the direct seeing that no such "deficient self" could be found. Finding harmony with others

The best way i found to share this book is sharing one of many FB posts followed reading it: "my mother has cancer and her situation deteriorated lately as she needs oxygen most of the time. she chose not to do Chemo and die at home. we had a lovely morning today as we sat outside, a lovely sunny day - then she told me she wants to die.
i asked her why and she replied she wants to finally rest. i suggested she can rest here and now and let death come when it wants to come, why wait for death?
after some explanation of Scott's UI we went for "the one who can not rest". at the end [we could not find that one of course] we both felt much more relaxed and connected. Not just the end result, but the process itself brought us together feeling supported and safe. Thank you Scott for bringing this opportunity to our life". Stop the Vicious Circle of Pain in Relationships

The introduction alone gives us a superb example of how our sense of not okay-ness about ourselves gives rise to the entire disharmony we experience in our relationships. Those closest to us know exactly how to push our buttons so to speak and we in turn know how to entice our close family and friends to upset as well. The rest of the book clearly shows specific roles we operate from and how our sense of deficiency has us project outward the problems and cause of suffering we encounter in the world of relationship. The author has us succinctly look at the `story' that runs our lives thru questions challenging our belief systems and thereby revealing the absence of the core deficient self we began with. What's left after the `deficient self' is no longer found? This book is a rare and incredible read with real solutions to the age old malady of healing ourselves in relationship. My life and relationships are forever changed. Thank you Scott Kiloby.

Getting at the core of the problem

There are obviously a ton of relationship books on the market. I think this one cuts to the core of the problem better than anything else I've come across. If you're frustrated, discouraged and stuck in some relationship in your life, I highly recommend this book to you. Roy B.
